Words have power. the way you speak to yourself everyday effects how you feel about the world and your place in it.

We were taught as children that words were not as powerful as physical things. The old adage "sticks and stones can break my bones but words can never hurt me." was used in just about every playground but it could not be further from the truth.

In fact every word that you say to another or think to yourself carries an energy that can raise your vibration higher or send you plummeting to the depths of despair. We may think that if we do not say it out loud then it is ok but the truth of the matter is those words that we say to ourselves are the very things that shape our lives.

If you repeatedly tel yourself that you are fat, lazy, worthless or no good then this is exactly what will  be reflected back to you. even in the bile it states in Mathew 15:11

It is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.”   Or as Buddha says:

 

If you are constantly stating how tired you are then this is what you will become. If you often say "I am sick of.....Fill in the blank" then sickness will become part of your life. What about "I can't afford that"? then not having enough money will regularly show up for you.

For the next two weeks pause before you speak and ask your self if what you are going to say is framed in the most positive way possible and if not change it. Think only loving thoughts of yourself and if you catch yourself saying something negative mentally say "STOP" and reframe it.

 One of my regular habits is to pat myself on the back for any job that I do well.We all love positive reinforcement and if there is no-one else to give it to you right then and there? Do it for yourself!
