Q Hi, About 2 years ago I found out i had Glandular fever after being incredibly fatigued at work and having blood tests done. After 2 years i've come to find that whenever I am stressed/do not get enough sleep or simply over exert myself too much, the symptoms of fatigue and headaches come back. Of course, the only thing i can do is rest, which requires taking time off work. This has happened about 5 times since diagnosis 2 years ago. I want to know how i can build my immune system back up so this stops happening. I understand my diet needs to be good and i need to be careful in regards to overworking myself, however are there natural ways/other ways i can stop this from reoccuring? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks,

A Hi there. This is quite common when the virus is residual in the body. There are a number of things you can do to boost your system when it flares up - the goal is to knock it off completely:
You may benefit from kick-starting your immune system: Make the following drink, & consume it as hot as possible after having a warm bath and get into a warm bed. The goal is to raise your temperature and let that do it's work:
crush 1-2 cloves of garlic
1/2 tsp ginger powder (or 2 tsp crushed ginger)
1 tblsp of honey
juice of 1 lemon
pinch of cayenne pepper
Boiling water

Start taking Lypospheric Vitamin C (LivOn Labs) : 1 x 1000mg sachet 5 x daily.
Get some AlliMed (480mg) capsules. Take 2, 3x daily with food.

A anti-viral/immune tonic herbal formula might be useful. We can make that up for you - feel free to contact us.

Drink lots of water, chicken soup, vege broths and fresh fruit to keep your energy up.

All the best, Sharon

A Hi there. I really understand what this is like as it's what I went through for three years myself. This isn't the area I work in, but I can highly recommend these two practitioners:
Bill Donaldson at Real Health - Bill works with the immune system patterns related to Epstein Barr Virus and candida - the root cause of glandular fever.

A Hi thank you for your question. As this based on a virus (Epstein-Barr virus), it is likely to rear it's ugly head when your immune defences are down, which happens when we get stressed. A typical viral pattern. The goal would be to a) improve your overall immune system and b) alleviate the impact of the virus. I have worked with this many times and have good results. My trestment protocol is based on EAV, which you can look up on my website www.holistichealthclinic.co.nz If you would like more information, i offer a free 20 min phone consultation upfront. warm regards Inga von Benzon

A We use ozone therapy , sometimes with ultra-violet blood irradiation to help you obtain your goal. You sound like the type of case history that is amenable to this approach. If you want to call me on 09-432-0854 we could discuss further and I could send you information on it.
Otherwise , just google .
