Q What sort of massage will help with headaches? Thanks K

A Hi there. Did you consider working with someone to determine (and remedy) the cause of your headaches? Massage can help alleviate muscular tension and if this is the only fair involved, will be very effective. However, in my experience there are a lot of headaches that are not caused by make tension so a massage is a bit like taking a panadol - you'll feel better but it's not getting to the root of the problem. Kind regards. Sharon

A Hi K, It depends what is the cause of the headaches. However a good relaxing shoulder and neck massage will help. Accupressure will add to the efficacy. Indian head massage can be effective. Also advise to get to the root of the cause of the headaches and heal from there using Journey therapy

A Hello in answer to your question I would recommend a massage to release tension and Reiki to strengthen the area of where the stress has originated for example Solar Plexis for self confidence and empowerment. We use Certified Pure Essential Oils and the blend I would recommend is Past Tense to roll on the base of your neck. This works to clear blocked energy for a systemic approach. You can take this with you and use whenever you feel it coming on. Wishing you wellness Jocelyn Oades X-factor Organic Health Spa x

A Hello, Indian Head Massage is known to be extremely effective for headaches. It helps stimulate cranial nerves and increases blood supply to the scalp. Also the oils used in an Indian Head Massage are therapeutic and assist in providing relief from headaches.

A Hi there
Massage for headaches should only be done by someone appropriately trained. It very much depends on the cause of the headaches. There can be a joint, neural, muscular cause not to mention diet, stress, posture/ergonomicd... So I'm sorry to not be able to give you a magic cure answer but an assessment by a professional is advised. Massage, joint mobilisations/manips & acupuncture are all great for headaches. Good luck

A I have given clients a back massage and especially neck and shoulders, then massaging the scalp, gently "pulling" the hair is good, the aim her is to release tension in the scalp, and must be done slowly and deliberately. Good luck, also a drop of peppermint essential oil or possibly Basil rubbed into the base of the skull or temples can help. All the best Christene
