Structural Kinesiology is a highly effective form of body-work that uses muscle testing to determine structural and postural imbalances and faults.

It is a unique form in that it based on the spiral structure and tendencies of the body. All living things have an associated spiral. When this tendency becomes exaggerated in the human body, it is shown as painful, stiff or aching joints or muscles, lack of energy, headaches, and all the structural ills that we earthlings are subject to.

In any unintegrated body, you can see signs of the exaggerated spiral. One shoulder drops and is forward of the other, one hip is forward, one foot turns out more than the other, and there are many other signs.

Structural Kinesiology identifies your particular spiral tendency and literally unwinds the body. This is mainly done through positional release techniques and graduated stretching.
Over-tight muscles are relaxed and lengthened, weak muscles resume their normal function, and joints are freed up without manipulation.

Structural Kinesiology typically deals with the kind of problems that chiropractors and osteopaths face with their clientele. For example, if you have a painful weak back, sore neck, headaches, knee problems, RSI, foot pain, or this sort of problem, it is likely the therapy can help you, particularly with longstanding problems that have not been resolved.

The techniques used in Structural Kinesiology are gentle but highly effective. They are based on the spiral tendencies of the body and mainly involve forms of positional release technique and graduated stretching.

However, as an experienced Structural Kinesiology, my expectation is that you get to the point as soon as possible where you take self-responsibility and can pretty much self-maintain. To enable this end, I teach simple postural exercises and appropriate use of the body.

I regard right posture and appropriate use of the body, to be the main physical factors in maintaining an aligned body, and Structural Kinesiology allows this most effectively. So I show simple means of achieving this. Most of my clients are able to self maintain after three or four sessions, with some occasionally having a Warrant of Fitness tune-up.
