A couple of weeks back I had the pleasure of flying out of our winter to the sunshine and warmth of Port Douglas in Australia. It was wonderful to feel the warmth seeping into every cell in my body as I learned to relax and totally enjoy the peace and quiet..
The time in the airports really got me thinking about the baggage,or luggage we haul around with us. In a place like an airport it is really very obvious and I had fun letting my imagination free. I wondered "What could be in that one?" "What makes that so heavy and cumberson?" "Where are you off too?" and on and on.
There they were, all shapes and sizes, heavy, ungainly, awkward, awesome, graceful, elegant, light, colourful, jazzy, motley, battered, bruised, boring, broken, new, on wheels, no wheels, easy to handle, etc.
You name it....there it was, right in front of me.....and behind me as well, as I trundled my very own baggage along behind me.
Then we all stand in proper lines to have all our luggage weighted and measured and if it all fits within the regulations...it is taken away from us, put on to the moving conveyer belt and away it goes....and suddenly we are free of all that stuff.. free and light.....nothing to hold us back..ready to fly. Off we go, unburdened.
Wow.
Then at the end of the flight, there we are...standing at the baggage claim area ready to claim back what is rightfully ours...to be laden down again.
and sometimes, to really mess us up even more, we get the wrong baggage!!!
I realised that the luggage we carry to the airport is very visual and real. We all see it. Yet it reminded me of all the luggage or baggage we carry around with us that is not so visual. The thoughts, feelings, beliefs and ideals we carry around that are very real and true for us, and yet have the ability to hold us back.
We may not see it, yet we feel it, we know something is holding us back and it is very real to us. I
It too can be all shapes and sizes, heavy, ungainly, awkard, motely, battered, bruised, boring, broken, etc. It is stuff that holds us back from living our life's fully, that stops us realising our dreams, our desires, our goals.
How would it be if we could just stick it all on a moving conveyer belt and let it all go?
How would it be to never go to the baggage reclaim area to find it again.
How good would it feel to live feeling light and free.
What if we could just get rid of it all easily and effectively?
Well, we can.
As you know, I am always delighted to see and feel how quickly and effectively EFT will do just that for me and my clients. It is a true wonder to me as I watch the baggage leave to be replaced with relief and freedom.
