If I were the Universe (or the God of your
understanding), and I decided to send a new healing modality to Earth, then
here's how I'd do it.
I'd make it so simple, anyone could do it.
I'd make it easy to teach, and easy to learn. I'd make sure people could tell
they were receiving the
healing energy by giving them physical sensations such as touch, tingling,
heat, cold, involuntary muscle movement, sounds, lights, smells, etc. I'd make
it measurable by the scientists.
And I'd make sure it worked for everyone's
best interests. Even if people were unsure what they needed healed, I'd make
sure it heals them – subject to their free-will permission at a soul level.
I've just described Reconnective Healing.
When I first became aware of this healing modality, I was amazed at how simple
it is. But it just seemed right to me – that there really is no need for
complicated rituals, and that we, as practitioners, should not be able to 'get
in the way' when we are healing. Healing comes from the Divine, so all we are doing is
opening a door and allowing the healing to take place. Our role is then to stay
out of the way and just pay attention.
Amazing things happen during and after the
healings. From the interesting (for example, my previously straight hair is now
curly) to the profound. Maggie came to one of our presentations about the
healing. She volunteered to lie on the table and during a short five minute introduction
to the healing and nothing remarkable happened. She felt a deep sense of peace
and had some small involuntary movements. But the next morning when she woke
up, she felt her spine go pop, pop, pop, all the way from her tail bone up to
her neck. Her chronic back pain is now only a memory. Five minutes, and it's
improved her life remarkably.
My husband John had suffered from frozen
shoulders – first on the right side, then both sides – for around four years.
He could not lift his arms above shoulder height, and even trying caused him a
lot of pain. His GP and physiotherapy had not helped. John’s first healing was
truly remarkable. Lying on the table, his shoulders and arms started to twitch
uncontrollably. A few minutes later, he sat up, and he was able to lift both
arms right up over his head and touch his hands together. I will never forget
the look on his face – the closest I have seen him to tears since our wedding.
