Q Hi, I suffer from P.T.S.D. & S.A.D. with Agroaphobia/Panic Attacks. I've spent most of my life on Anti-depressants and sedatives. Nothing works. I Self-harm and have tried to Overdose. I have had intensive therapy but it makes me worse. I don't sleep properly, I have Low Energy, I have packed on the so much weight. My GP just wants to keep me taking all sorts of Medicines (all Chemical). I would love to find a Natural way of dealing with my problems. I am poor so can't afford to go and see a Naturopath. If you have any suggestions please help me. Thanks, Sharon.

A Hi there.
I understand how a situation like that can lead you to the point where you can't work to afford the treatment you need, and good on you for reaching out. However, somehow you need to find a way to deal with the underlying problem - if you are on a sickness benefit I suggest you ask your GP for a referall to someone like Malcolm Falconer, a very experienced psychologist who uses cognitive behavioural therapy. I think he can also direct you to a self-help system run online, which would be financially beneficial for you.
All the pills in the world cannot counteract the effect that the trauma had on you and your behaviour, thinking etc, so you must have a way forward on that issue. And it IS about finding a way forward, not rehashing the past.
I wish you the best - by all means contact me to deal with your health issues once you are on the pathway forward.

Kind regards
Sharon
