Q Hello, Im looking for a Thyroid specialist/Doctor in wellington preferably the Porirua Capiti coast region. I have been experiencing typical symptoms like hair loss, fatigue, constant muscle twitching and weight loss etc for a few years now and seem to be getting worse, i have a sister who has also had thyroid issues which led her to having surgery a number of years ago due to it. If you can help me locate a professional it would be much appreciated. Regards.

A Hi. I am not familiar with specialists in Wellington, but you could contact the GPs Association and they would no doubt recommend one close to you. Most GPs though would be aware of thyroid issues and a simple blood test would determine whether you had an under or over active thyroid.
From an energetic point of view (and everything is energy), thyroid is about communication. Are you expressing (i.e. saying how you truly feel) everything you want to express, to everyone in your life?
The muscle twitching could be lack of magnesium. Again, your GP can arrange to check this out -and other nutrients such as iron level (low iron will cause fatigue). Once you get all that sorted you will start to feel much better.

A I am not sure where a Thyroid specialist is but have you tried painting Iodine onto the soles of your feet. It is something lacking in New Zealand,
I wish you all the best and hope you find the right person.
