I have been diagnosed with mild carpel tunnel syndrome and I have been visiting an osteopath and it does work but the symptoms come back eventually. Are there anyother recommendatons for therapies or fixes apart from acupuncture.

I have had many good results using Bowen Therapy for carpel tunnel syndrome, one also has to address underlying causes - work habits and set up etc.
all the best

Hello, Bowtech Bowen Therapy can definitely help Carpal Tunnel. However you also need to review how you use your arms and hands in work /sport and leisure activities. Repetition, holding muscles tense, and holding joints in awkward positions can cause symptoms. Identifying these and learning how to do things differently is important for sustained healing. I have worked frequently with people using these 2 perspectives with great success. Would be delighted to help. Yours in health Judy Osborne

Holding hands in a prayer position may help. I work with pranic healing and orthobionomy and have had results, you may consider these options to have a pressure release done. All the best.

Carpel Tunnel syndrome is due to repetitive injury, or repetitive movement (typing all day...). No matter what you do, if you do not change the way you use your hands, the symptoms will come back eventually. Bowen Therapy is an other good option to assist in reducing the symptoms.

Hi there
I see physical pain as a symptom to an underlying cause, a core issue.
I approach this holistically with EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or tapping therapy and establish when the pain first occured, what happened at that time in your life. This treatment involves light tapping with fingertips on certain meridian points, releasing habitual patterns. It is very effective for permanent pain relief. Of course I would also look at your postural habits, how you hold yourself, workstation etc. Have you considered to take up yoga or a streching class? there are some good stretches for arms and wrists. For more information on EFT or your specific ailment contact me on vitalessenz.co.nz and on emofree.com

Hello, Have you tried Jin Shin Jyutsu, a gentle form of accupressure working on energy lines on the body. Hands on sequences restore emotional equilibrium, relieve pain and release the cause of both acute and chronic conditions. For more information visit www.nousoma.co.nz or to find a practitioner near you visit www.jinshinjyutsu.org.nz

You need to find someone to reset your Spleen meridian as this governs the opponens pollicis longus muscles in the thumb and little finger. If these muscles are out of balance they will become swollen and press on the nerves of the wrist. Also be very careful of your diet and make sure that the body is alkali as too much acid will look into the muscles and cause pain. Find a Pracitioner who stocks 'Basica' a German alkali drink as this will help rid your body of the acid.

I'd be interested in looking at the inflammatory componennts of your diet and making adjustments in that area, with additional supplementation as needed.
Have you had a naturopathic consultation?

Sharon

I agree with Stef. I, too, have helped correct many similar cases - even several who have had ineffective surgery. The reason the correction doesn't hold for very long after you've seen the osteopath is that you have an unconscious habitual posture. This posture generates the displacement that causes the inaptly-named Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. My suggestion is to see a massage therapist near you who knows how to deal with the problem. I also strongly recommend you do postural training of some description that incorporates core conditioning and strength training. And get your workstation sorted:-)

Hi there. I have seen this alot in my 10 years of practise. My first question would be .. Is there tingles on your fingers?? If so, is it the thumb and first finger? If this is the case, it is what is called Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, and is easily remedied with the correct type of approach. Do you spend much of your time looking below your shoulder-line?? (computer work, writing, knitting, teaching, child-care, alot of driving?? - All of these activities lead to the three main neck/throat/ upper shoulder muscles to get tight and short - which squeeze the nerve which runs through to the arm and causes the tingliness.
I have helped reverse nearly 100 of these and similar situations before. My line of work deals with a mix of Massage and Acupressure which is very effective towards releasing long-term build-up such as this.
I welcome you to call me/email me for further discussion or if there is someone closer in your area talk to them. You need to look for someone who has been working 5+ years and does remedial massage therapy.
I HOPE THIS HELPS - And Good Luck with this. All my best Stef - Right For Life Massage & Energy

Hi there,I recommend SCENAR therapy, this is a device that is placed directly on to the skin, stimulating the nervous system to produce it regulatory peptides, thereby prompting the body to heal itself. It is a very successful method of treatment. If you would like to know more please visit www.beyondhealth.co.nz; email
