Hi
what can practitioners suggest to help get rid of skin fungus please? its not just between toes, but in some nails and other areas of skin.
Having recently finished a n intensive heavy metal and toxic spray detox program it feels like time to address this.
thanks in advance for your inspirations

All of the answers below are very helpful. The problem with any kind of disease or illness is, that the reasons for it can be numerous. As a BodyTalk practitioner I look for the underlying causes that contribute to the illness, in regards to skin fungus it can be the following:
- high sugar and carbohydrate intake
- acid-alkaline imbalance/ ph imbalance of the body (lean more towards the alkaline foods such as veggies)
- imbalance of the body chemistry meaning the immune system is weak
- low Wei Qi (a term coming from TCM which means an energetic layer on the skin is weak)
- locked anger within the body-mind complex can support the growth of fungus
- fungal can be support through allergies and intolerances
These are just some areas that you might want to examine yourself. All the other suggestions like Tea Tree Oil, vitamins, intelligent water, colloidal silver etc can then support the healing process.

In addition to the suggestions below, you need to consider your immune system. Are you getting adequate vitamin A, C, D and zinc to support immune health ?
At this time of year, you can get enough vitamin D from sunlight, provided that your diet contains all the vitamins and minerals needed to convert it into it's active form. Vitamin A can be obtained very cheaply from liver (but don't eat more than 5kg / year or you'll overdose) and zinc from red meat or pumpkin seeds.
The best readily obtainable source of vitamin C in New Zealand is raw capsicums, followed by raw kale and then the usual suspects - citrus fruits, kiwifruit, strawberries etc.
Be aware that most supplements containing vitamin C or vitamin E are genetically modified.

From an Aromatherapist's viewpoint, Tee Tree Oil would be hard to beat. Either soaking or getting an Aromatherapist to make a cream. Fragonia would also be great as it is very anti-bacterial, anti-septic, anti-fungal etc.

Hi there, great that you have already addressed underlying issues. Athlete's foot is a very persistent issue and not so easy to address. however, one main factor for successful results is alkalisation. i suggest you start taking wheat grass shots (best fresh, but a good powder works as well) to alkalise your body. Tea Tree oil works topically, but also make sure that you apply a moisturiser to prevent the skin from further drying out. Virgin coconut oil works well. for further assistance, feel free to contact me from wwww.holistichealthclinic.co.nz

Hi there, I suggest addressing the root cause of why you have skin fungus. One way of addressing these issues is by using bio-energetic medicine working through the layers to find what the underlying cause of your skin fungus. The skin is the largest organ in the physical body and has a myriad of functions. To find out more visit www.wellnessdirectory.co.nz/beyondhealth

You can also try myrrh essential oil on/under the nails.

This is a Candida problem and avoiding all sugars and yeasts will help but you must bring the candida under contraol and I have found that by usung Deseret Biologicals Candi 1m or Candi Plus will help with this problem. This can be obtained from a health practitioner who is connected to Metagenics. Be very careful to change and soak your soxs daily in a good disinfectant and change the bed linen frequently

Hi there,
To try and get rid of Skin fungus, firstly avoid:wheat, sugar,& yeast from your diet as these 'feed' the fungus
Here are some natural remedies:
-Soak feet in warm water with a few drops of white vinegar for 15 minutes or so and pat dry in affected area 2/3 times a week
-Both Lavender & Tea tree oils are wonderful natural antifungal, antibacterial anti-fungal essential oils & can be rubbed on affected area as often as possible.
Good Luck! checkout www.bodyinsync.co.nz

Rub a mix of 50% hydrogen peroxide and 50% water onto the area often, or vicks vapour rub may help as well. A pranic healing may alleviate the problem to rid the area of dirty energy that is stagnant there.- Rainbow Mountain Therapies

Hi there. If you have a fungal infection IN your nails, this is a long project!! If it's mainly the skin, I would recommend "Kolorex Total Care Foot and Toe Care Cream" used as directed, consistently until a week after the skin seems normal. If it's in the nails (ie they look thicker, creamy white underneath etc), then try soaking daily in a warm footbath with cider vinegar added and then putting NEAT tea tree oil on, around and under the nail - as much as possible. Switching Geranium essential oil from time-to-time. I recommend the Rich Earth range of top quality organic essential oils - see Houseofhealth.co.nz.
